Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is ultrasound safe?
The short answer to this is, YES! Ultrasound is 100% safe. It does not require any radiation like many imaging modalities. Ultrasound uses sound waves transmitted through our transducers to make up images of your baby.
  • What determines a good image?
There are many factors that go into obtaining a clear image. Some variables include the amount of amniotic fluid around the baby, the baby's position, and the maternal body habitus or mother's body type. These variables all affect the way the sound waves penetrate and create good images.
  • How can I prepare for my visit?
Staying hydrated and drinking plenty of water helps facilitate the best possible ultrasound images. Mother's should have at least 6 bottles of water per day for 1-2 weeks leading up to your appointment. Coming to your appointment fully hydrated with a slightly full bladder and having eaten a small meal beforehand increases the visibility and the accuracy of the imaging in your session.
  • What if my baby isn't in a good position at the time of my visit?
Now, there is a possibility this could happen. In the occurrence that it does, Bella Babies 3D Imaging provides one free follow up visit that has to be used within the first 2 weeks of your appointment. This can give baby some time to get into a more desirable position for their 3D image.
  • What are your cancellation and late policies?
A customer has up to the 24 hours before their visit to cancel for a full refund. Bella Babies 3D Imaging has a no tolerance policy for tardiness. We want to give you 100% of our time and get the most out of your session. Our sessions are at most 20 minutes long. If you are more than 5 minutes late, you must surrender your appointment. We will gladly reschedule you!
  • Do you issue refunds?
At Bella Babies 3D Imaging, all sales are final. Refunds will not be issued under any circumstances. If we are unable to obtain a 3D image of your baby, we offer a onetime courtesy visit that has to be used within 2 weeks of your original appointment.
  • What is the difference between 2D, 3D and 4D?
2D is just a regular black and white image. 3D is also a still image, but in color. 4D is actual live motion that can be recorded.
